Government pledges additional Continuous Glucose Monitoring Subsidy for all Australians living with type 1 diabetes

Dexcom and AMSL Diabetes welcome the recent bi-partisan commitment to providing access to continuous glucose monitoring for all people with Type 1 diabetes in Australia.
Expanding the subsidy access to all people with Type 1 diabetes in Australia irrespective of their age and concession card status is an important reform that improves the equity of access to these important technologies.
Dexcom and AMSL Diabetes look forward to working with the Department of Health, Diabetes Australia, clinicians, diabetes educators, pharmacists and wholesalers on the implementation of this long-awaited reform to the National Diabetes Services Scheme.
We thank JDRF, Diabetes Australia and all those who have supported and worked for improved access to diabetes technologies for the diabetes community. Through tireless advocacy and education, they have worked toward ensuring more individuals will be able to benefit from these technologies.
