Fibrovein

FibroveinTM has been used worldwide since 1946 in the treatment of varicose veins. It is a detergent-based sclerosant injection comprised of Sodium Tetradecyl Sulphate (STS).

Fibrovein can be used for treatment of uncomplicated primary varicose veins, recurrent or residual veins following surgery, reticular veins, and spider veins of the lower extremities.

Research dictates that treatment using Fibrovein is an effective form of sclerotherapy. Occlusion rates following the procedure were 83-89.9% effective at follow up appointments over eight weeks to five years.1,2,3

Four different concentrations of Fibrovein; 3%, 1%, 0.5% and 0.2%, are available for purchase dependant on the size of the vein in treatment. This allows for wider use of the product for patients with varying requirements.

For more information on the mechanism of action and post-treatment information see the product brochure below.
