Indoor Biotechnologies Allergen Assay Systems

Indoor Biotechnologies (IB) is an immunodiagnostics and biotechnology company specializing in manufacturing innovative products for investigating environmental and immunologic aspects of asthma and allergic diseases. The company's technology includes a comprehensive set of monoclonal antibodies for the detection of house dust mite, cat, dog, cockroach and fungal allergens. Recently there has been an expansion into the area of food allergens with the developement and availability of reagents and kits to measure food allergens, initially Peanut.
IB is the world leader in environmental allergen detection systems.
IB has developed a range of innovative allergen detection systems, including laboratory based ELISA and a consumer based rapid test kit, which detects mite allergen in the home within 10 minutes.

These systems provide a complete range of tests for assessing environmental exposure to indoor allergens; for testing the efficacy of allergen avoidance procedures, products and devices, for allergen standardization and product development.
IB technology is used worldwide and has been reported in over 250 scientific publications on indoor allergens. IB operates an INDOOR® Allergen Analysis Service, Contract Research Services and Professional Training Courses. IB introduced natural and recombinant allergens as a new product line for research use and for developing new strategies for allergy diagnosis and treatment. This range of products currently includes the most important dust mite, cat and cockroach allergens.
IB has an extensive product pipeline and ambitious plans for developing consumer-based allergy diagnostic devices and environmental products.
IB was founded by Dr. Martin D. Chapman, formerly Professor of Medicine and Microbiology at the University of Virginia and a member of the UVA Asthma and Allergic Diseases Center. Dr. Chapman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and has served as a consultant to the U.S. National Institutes of Health, the Environmental Protection Agency, and several biotechnology and environmental products companies.
IB is organized as two affiliated companies: 1. INDOOR Biotechnologies Inc. (IBI), located in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA; which carries out research, development and sales in the Americas.
2. INDOOR Biotechnologies Limited (IBL) based in Warminster, UK, which handles sales, distribution and business development in Europe, the Far East, Australia and New Zealand.
AMSL is proud to cooperate with Indoor Biotechnologies Ltd to promote the various IBI products and services to researchers and medical professionals in Australia.

IBL Products & Services Brochures NEW!!!!! June 2010 The IBL June 2010 Products & Services Brochure is available for downloading (for local printing) by clicking here (28 pages, 2.3MB).
New in thi sissue are revised prices and the availability of various Peanut allergens.
Products should be ordered through AMSL, either by e-mail or telefax or writing.
AMSL hold the Import Permit and will manage the importation and Customs payments, and other administration of your order.
Prices and Costs There are four components to the cost of an IBL product (except the Home Mite Allergen Test Kits):
(a) The actual GB Pounds price of the IBL product. The prices of the various IBL products is set by IBL in GB Pounds Sterling, as shown in the IBL June 2010 Price List, which can be downloaded by clicking here (28 pages, 2.3MB).
(b) The international Courier cost, for delivery from IBL in UK to AMSL in Sydney. This is quoted by IBL to be GBP 80.00; also to be converted at the ruling foreign exchange rate, so approx A$125. This is a fixed flat rate for all their international deliveries, though the actual cost to IBL for deliveries to Australia is often in excess of this figure.
(c) The Australian Customs Clearance Fees, normally approx. A$70
(d) The local Australian delivery cost from AMSL in Sydney to you, throughout Australia; at A$15 + GST
Therefore the total cost should be almost the same as if you were to order direct to IBL and take delivery direct from IBL, but without the hassles of AQIS Import Permits, advance GST payments, customs clearance procedures, freight agents fees, foreign currency payments, etc.etc.
If you are not experienced or set up to manage such importation procedures then you certainly do not want to find out how the hard way, whilst the product is held up unrefrigerated pending your various multiple inputs and payments. In fact the Customs Clearance agent will normally state that if Customs Clearance is not effected within 14 days then the goods are either destroyed or returned to sender, at the addressees cost!! So this is a perfect Catch 22, as if the Import Permit is not ready in advance then there is zero chance of getting it from AQIS in time and clearing the goods before they get returned to UK.
Even if you or an associated department is able to manage such importations, we do all this for you at no extra cost to you but saving you on the higher ad hoc customs clearance fees and freight agents fees; as well as the actual cost and administration of the AQIS Import Permit needed to cover that product.
You may request a quote from AMSL prior to placing your order.
Orders Please place your order by fax or e-mail or letter with AMSL Sydney. E-mail to orders@amsl.com.au or Fax to 02-9882 3999. You are more than welcome to call to discuss your requirements and to ask any questions you may have about products, prices, delivery, payments, etc.
Delivery Delivery time is most usually 10 days from receipt of your order and delivery to AMSL, plus a further 1-2 working days for local delivery.
Payment You as the client will need to either have an account with AMSL or pay by Credit Card. An AMSL Account Application Form is available for download here.
Note it takes approx. 1 week to check the two credit references required, which is about the same time it takes the get the goods delivered from IBL in UK to AMSL in Australia.
Once approved, then orders and deliveries are on the account and so product will be delivered with invoice for later payment.
